STEALING CARMEN is here

A few days ago I mentioned that there is something about Stealing Carmen that just isn't "done" in romance. Even erotic Romance. Anyone wanna tell me what it is?

It's not a bad thing if you don't see it. Really, really! That just means the story worked for you. I'm doing the author happy dance right now because only one person has mentioned it to me so far.

Stephanie, you're not allowed to answer. LOL

I'll be on the road all day today, driving through some snowy mountains along the way, so I'll see what y'all said this evening.

Happy Holidays!

I just love this season! Even when everything goes wrong it's not so bad. Almost.

Happily off visiting family for the holidays. Unhappily realizing they no longer have wireless Internet like they did this summer. Happily enjoying the endless fun of horses to ride, pontoon boat to float, hot tub, Olympic size pool and endless space to play in. Unhappily enjoying the amazing supply of food a family of good cooks provide. So you see, joy is relative and when one is surrounded by relatives it is everywhere.

STEALING CARMEN in just one day!! Hope you get a chance to relax with Jack after the holiday crazies.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE

It looks a lot like Christmas

Wow, amazing storm we folks near the lakes and north east had yesterday. Hope everyone is okay and kept warm. No school today for the first time this year. The kids are going to love it.

WOOT~ STEALING CARMEN NEXT WEEK! I can hardly wait to hear what people think. Not being shy about it this time. I wanna know if they noticed the difference.

Since I'm done with my Christmas shopping, guess what? OTHER PEOPLE ARE getting me to do theirs! Okay, most people could not induce me to share their pain like that, but it's my mother. She has a bad back and...you get the idea...le sigh.... I have to go to the evil mall again. I don't do well with crowds. That is code for I hate them and react by becoming angry. Took me a long time to realise what the extreme trigger is. Now that I know, you'd think it'd help. Sorta doesn't.

So much fun. What you doing the week before Christmas?

Breaking the rules in STEALING CARMEN

You know books are pre-read by people reviewing. I sometimes get a response prior to the review. Been waiting on pins and needles to see how this one is received. Course I feel that way about all of them, but this one is a little different.

I was told by my lovely editor that I'd gone and "broken the rules" in the romance genre (can't tell you exactly what it is coz what fun would that be?) and well, I didn't realize I was breaking the rules when writing it. That is just how this story flowed. So wondered if a seasoned professional would see it and recognize what I'd done. My hope was she would not because that means the story took over instead of the other thing.

This is the note I received this morning.

OMG ... Stealing Carmen is fantastic! Talk about surreal, wow and OMG! Jack is...amazing. Did I tell you that's my favorite name? I laughed out loud at times and at others well, I made sound it definitely wasn't laughter...I'm touched, moved, just...wow. All my "big words" have left me...I'll have a review written the next day or so - ... Once again, wow, ...thank you for such an amazing experience. Your biggest fangirl forever,

I've edited out personal information, but WOW!! I THINK SHE LIKED IT~ I am soooooo excited!!

I promise to tell anyone who asks what the "breaking the rules" thing is after it's released and you've read it. I'm gonna be thrilled if you can't figure it out.
