Summer is an Alpha
The waning of summer is a lover’s long goodbye. He leaves every gift he can think of in the harvest excesses. Then he drapes his soon to be missed love in rich burgundy and gold robes of fall. The last lingering kiss of Indian Summer is his reluctant farewell.
Enjoy the melting kisses as days grow shorter. He doesn't wish to leave, but he must. Summer is an alpha, determined to to gift his lady with all the supplies she needs to survive his absence. He'll be back in spring, a roaring avenger to rescue her from winter's wolf.

A few of the thing that happen to men
He develops a codependent relationship with his grill. It somehow reflects his Y chromosome awesomeness. I don’t understand this so I can’t explain it but males will say to each other. “Where’s your grill? You do HAVE a grill?” In the same tone one would say, “You do have balls?! Right?” In few males this relationship also transfers to the mowing equipment, but certainly not in all of them.
Shortly after the wedding a male who has previously been living on his own for years will suddenly experience catastrophic laundry information loss. Inexplicably, he has no recollection of how to run a washing machine or dryer.
Again, shortly after any type of wedding ceremony he will experience Ice Tray Phobia. This is the belief that refilling an ice tray will result in erectile dysfunction. It’s the only explanation for a male who will use all the ice in four ice trays and replace them in the freezer, empty. Upon opening the freezer looking for ice he is forced to call his wife and ask if they have ice. Since he is gazing in confusion at the empty ice trays, I am unsure where he thinks she is hiding the missing ice.

Hiding out in August
August is the month when summer becomes a thread-bare tank top. The material is soft with much washing. There are faint stains from the County Fair pizza drips, then the Fourth of July onion rings. Commercial grade grease never comes out. A little rip where snips used for dead heading the Zinnias slipped and almost stabbed me.
August is when those of us who should cover everything just can’t face the heat and ignore all the reasons that tank top and shorts are a visual crime. It’s just to hot for the over-shirts and capris that early in the summer created a neat, layered look.
August is the ratty tank top, lose shorts and a pony-tail.

Amazing things I learned today
A site that I enjoy, but primarily visit for research, took an unofficial poll today that had my attention. This board is made up of military or retired military men and women. It started as a Special Operations board but has branched out to almost every type of service. I only mention this because there are a great number of Special Ops guys. These men are fearless in every way.
It was a SEAL who started the thread with this.
” Inspired by the thread in the Aussie forum, Here is the discussion you have waiting for: wearing no underwear.
Team guys don't wear underwear. I don't own any.
How about the rest of you?”
Three pages of response later I have to say I will enjoy looking at men in uniform in a whole different way. Ladies, there is a 95% chance the man in fatigues/Dress Uni., except Whites, is Commando in every way.
Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
SUPPORT THE TROOPS! Nothing else is. Dayammmmmn, I love being a visual person.
